"...an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you" (1 Peter 1:4). Your inheritance is reserved. For all those who believe, your inheritance is eternal life along with the rewards God has laid up for you. Remember when you were a child and your birthday was coming up? I remember it was all I could think about as the time drew near! The delicious food, the mouthwatering dessert, the colorful boxes and bags filled with presents! It was a great time, but the experience had to come to an end until the day came around the next year. Right now, we are looking forward to our inheritance pristinely preserved in heaven. Once we receive our inheritance, we will enjoy it forever. It will be like celebrating our birthday; we will celebrate eternal life with friends and family and most of all with our Creator in everlasting peace and perfection. Although as we get older, we may not necessarily always look forward to our birthdays, we still hold onto that feeling of anticipation. Don't forget that feeling is but a taste of what we will experience someday in heaven.
Always improve the present moment.
