God's wisdom is not something we can figure out by our own intelligence or education. It is a gift that He gives to those who are humble and trust Him like children. Children are curious, open, and eager to learn. They don't rely on their own understanding, but they ask questions and listen to their parents. That's how God wants us to approach Him and His word. He wants us to be childlike, not childish. As we grow into adults, sadly, we tend to become jaded. We think we’re “acting our age” but really we may be acting childish just in a “grown-up” way. Childish means being immature, selfish, and disobedient. Childlike means being simple, sincere, and obedient. So let's pray today that God would help us to be childlike in our faith and that He would reveal to us the wonderful things He has prepared for us in His kingdom!
