“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me” ~John 15:4
Before astronauts leave the ship, they tether themselves before they do what's called a spacewalk. As they emerge into the cold, quiet space, they can rest assured as long as the astronauts stay tethered to the station, they'll be okay. But if their lifeline breaks…they will likely stray very far from the source, possibly to never return again.
As Christians, our tether is the Holy Spirit, the Helper, connecting us to Jesus, our Savior, and God, our Heavenly Father. Together, They are our Source.
How have your mood, your mind, and your relationships been lately? You'll know if you've become untethered. Remain connected to the Source, but don't fool yourself into thinking you can stay connected on your own. Only by the power of the Holy Spirit can you stay connected to the Source and, in so doing, experience true life.
Always improve the present moment.
